For Pat Vonderfecht it began as an ache in a breast. It would begin as her journey through the world of breast cancer. Last Thursday, the Pawnee City High School held their Dig Pink volleyball game, a triangular with HTRS and Diller/Odell. Dig Pink is a night set aside each year to commemorate the fight of millions to survive breast cancer, for one thing just making people aware. The event raised $652 to be donated to the Southeast Nebraska Cancer Foundation. The money will be used for patients from Pawnee and Richardson counties.
