Audrey Marie (Marsolf) Olson

Audrey Marie (Marsolf) Olson, 96, of Lincoln, formerly of Pawnee City, passed away on Friday, May 30. Audrey was born July 25, 1917 in a sod house near May, Oklahoma. She was the last of ten children born to Elsie Adella (Gerard) Marsolf and William Franklin Marsolf. In March of 1918, her family moved from May to Wichita, Kansas traveling by covered wagon. Audrey attended grade school and high school in Wichita. She then attended business school for one year before going to work as a medical lab technician for a Wichita hospital. In 1939 Audrey moved to Oakland, NE to live with her older sister Zella. While living with Zella, Audrey attended Wayne State teachers college for one year and then taught in a country school for a year. While in Oakland, Audrey met her husband Virgil. Virgil and Audrey were married at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Lincoln, Nebraska on June 14, 1941. They then made their home in Oakland.

Robert “Pete” Peterson

Robert “Pete” Peterson, 63, of DuBois, Nebraska, passed away at his home in DuBois, Nebraska on May 28, 2014. He was born to Robert John and Clara Mae (Strong) Peterson on April 3, 1951 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. The family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in 1965. Pete graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1970. Pete was a mechanic for Constructors, Inc. of Lincoln and most recently for Klepper Oil in DuBois. He was an over the road truck driver for the United States Postal Service, a delivery service, and an independent company taking cheese from Hartington, Nebraska to the west coast and bringing back produce on the return trip. Pete also hauled grain and sand. He worked for UDI out of York where he drove a refrigerated truck to Seattle. Pete did not like driving for grocery store chains as they had too many rules and regulations. Pete never married and he was proud of it.

Dorothy Mangnall

Dorothy Mangnall, 80 years of age, of Beatrice passed away at the Good Samaritan Center in Beatrice Monday evening, May 12, 2014. She was born on September 5, 1933 in Clay Center, Kansas to Teddy and Neva Finley. Dorothy and Cecil Mangnall were married on November 24, 1960. She worked at several jobs but especially enjoyed working at Godfathers in Beatrice in the early 1980’s. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, camping, serving as a

Evelyn Marie (Inglis) Young

Evelyn Marie (Inglis) Young, 91 of Seneca, Kansas formerly of Pawnee City, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 with her family by her side at the Life Care Center of Seneca. She was born on February 2, 1923 at home in the West Branch precinct, Pawnee County, Nebraska to William and Agnes (Smith) Inglis. Evelyn attended school at Lower West Branch and Bookwalter and graduated from high school at Barneston, Nebraska in 1940. She then attended Peru State Teachers College in Peru, Nebraska and obtained her teaching degree. Evelyn then  taught in several Country Public Schools in Pawnee County. Gregory Stanford Jackson

Gregory Jackson, 53 of Hanover, Kansas formerly of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 in Hanover, Kansas. Greg was born August 29th, 1960 in Lincoln, NE to Nella Churchill. The family later moved to Pawnee City, NE where Greg was raised. Greg spent his youth with his Uncle Melvin and Aunt Wanda Hinrichsenat their farm and attended school at Pawnee City. It was his time with Melvin at a young age that attracted him to tractors, especially Allis- Chalmers. Everyone who knew Greg knew that he had a deep love for Allis- Chalmers Tractors. He used to say that his blood was orange. Greg was an avid Allis-Chambers collector
