Linda Elaine (Smith) Dowse, 68 of Loup City, NE died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow, NE surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services were held 10:30  a.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Loup City, NE with the Reverend Joel Plisek officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Memorials are suggested to the Sherman County

Jeff Bice

Jeff Bice of Pawnee City, NE, age 59, went home to be a challenge to the MAN upstairs on November 30, 2013, at Bryan West in Lincoln, NE. He had a very unique sense of humor with a tremendous faith in God. Jeff was born on August 28, 1954 to Harry & Lois Bice in Des Moines, Iowa. Jeff grew up in the Minburn, Iowa area and had many friends there. Jeff had driven one  type of truck or another since the day he graduated from high school
at Central Dallas in Minburn, Iowa in 1972. Jeff met Cheryl Samples in August 1981 and they were married in March 1982. Together they did much traveling in the semi and visited  almost every state. They made their homes in Iowa, Kansas & Nebraska. In July of 2007 Jeff and Cheryl moved to Pawnee City, NE. Jeff enjoyed working on the farm and helping family & friends. Jeff was an active member of the First  Christian Church in Pawnee City.

Jay D. Keeton, 64 of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013 at his home in Pawnee City, Nebraska. He was born on May 24, 1949 to Arlie and Patricia (Hill) Keeton in Dallas, TX. Jay lived several  places through his life. He lived in Richmond, Virginia, Japan, Humboldt, and Pawnee City Jay attended Humboldt public school and Air Traffic Control School in the Navy. Jay married Linda Horner to this union four children were born, they later divorced and she passed on September 13, 2004. On December 22, 1991 he married Luann “Annie” Vogt. Jay enlisted in the Navy from1967 to 1971. He was a truck driver, for several years, worked at Den’s Country Meat, was a Air Control Man in the Navy from 1967-1971, and most recently the owner of The LittleBrown Jug. Robert LaVerne Henninger

Robert LaVerne Henninger, age 80 of Brookings, went Home to be with The Lord Saturday morning at his daughter’s home under Hospice Care. A Celebration of Life Service was held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, 11/21/13
at his nephew, Donnie Fisher’s home located in Pawnee City, Nebraska. Preceding this, at 3:30 p.m., was a gathering of friends & family at his sister, Betty Collins home in Pawnee City, Nebraska. Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting with local arrangements. Robert was born on January 5, 1933 to August and Maggie (Heiniger) Henninger in Bern, Kansas. Robert faithfully served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for Boeing in Seattle, WA from 1956- 1963. On December 7, 1957, Robert married the love of his life, Joanne Vernon, in Vancouver, Washington. Together, they were blessed with three children;  Bonnie, Brenda, and Shari.

Marion F. Riter

Marion F. Riter, 98 of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Pawnee Manor in Pawnee City, Nebraska. She was born on November 26, 1914 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to George and Christina (Gorn) Fox. She was a graduate of North High in Omaha. She worked at Bemis Bag Company and then for North Western Bell where she retired before moving to Pawnee City to raise quarter horses with her husband Eldon. Marion was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Extension, Eastern Star, Red Hat Ladies, and numerous other organizations. For 71 years she was a proud member of the Rebekah Assembly. She loved visiting with family and friends, picnics, traveling and she was an avid Huskers fan. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Joe Scarpa in 1957 and Eldon Riter in 1986, her siblings; George Fox,

M. Martha Percival

M. Martha Percival passed away peacefully on November 13, 2013 at the age of 82. She was born to Leo and Viola Massey on January 3, 1931 in Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up in Table Rock and Pawnee City.
She was united in marriage to Calvin Percival on August 14, 1948. To this union 4 children were born. Martha graduated from Pawnee City High School in 1949, where she was selected as Valedictorian of her class.
