PAWNEE CITY - The Pawnee City Indians found themselves in a sticky situation as they hosted Omaha Christian Academy on Monday, February 10th.

Even though the scoring was close most of the game, P.C. had their chances to put the game away in the 4th period. Easy misses, turnovers and missed freethrows prevented the Indians from winning easily, but they eventually pulled out a 68-63 victory in double overtime.

P.C. got things started off with Kodenn Koester assisting TJ Mawhiney on a bucket underneath. Colby Robison made a nice move to the hoop soon after and then hit a jumper up top to make it 6-1.

Madison Branek was able to capitalize on opportunities to score and had a nice game. Really, as a team this was another good showing. This group really does play for each other and it’s fun to work with them and challenge to improve every day. This was a good win for us going into the Pioneer Conference Tournament.”
