PCHS football to go 6-man

By John Sterup

The Pawnee City Public School board met Monday November 11th. The board discussed options for the future of the football team. Superintendent Rottinghaus discussed the advantages and disadvantages of going to six man. He said he would love to see the school remain eight man but with projections they may not field a team. Rottinghaus also brought up the fact Pawnee City did not have to remain six man. He wanted people and the board to know that going six man is a two-year commitment and in two years if football numbers were up they could go back to eight man. Pawnee city had previously discussed co-opting football with other schools, but they were already committed to their two-year agreements with the NSAA.
