Alan Haverkamp wins Pawnee Classic

Alan Haverkamp wins Pawnee Classic The 33rd running of the Pawnee City Classic was held on Saturday at SchillingBridge Winery and Microbrewery in spite of hot, windy conditions. Forty seven runners completed the 5k (5.1 mile) road race and there were 11 finishers in the one mile fun run. Alan Haverkamp, of Bern, Ks was the first over the finish line with a time of 21:01. He is in his 50's, so he would qualify as the Masters (over 40) winner, but we have a "no duplication" policy, and we declared him the "Open" winner. Scott Morrow, from Lincoln won the Men's Masters trophy (25:51).
