HTRS Track

By Matt Mezger Head Coach

Season Outlook: "Our boys have worked hard in the weightroom and that should pay off on the track. We have some new faces out and some more depth than we have had in past years. Our boys have some great senior leadership along with returning letterwinnners Logan Bredemeier, Chase Hain, Cody Hazen, John Kanel, Jacob Railsback, Logan Sandford and Jordan Watson. With the loss of Chase Hain in the Discus because of shoulder surgery we will look for other members to step up and some of those athletes will be Logan Bredemeier in the middle distance as he has anchored that group for the past 3 years and also Jacob Railback in the Pole Vault and Jordan Watson in the sprints.

2017 Spring Sports Preview

By Alan Strong Head Coach

Season Outlook: "The strength of our team will be depth in boys and girls with 39 out. Experienced letterwinners will also be a strength. There is some inexperience in the boys, but both teams will get better as the season goes along with a good group of underclassmen.

Returning letterwinners include Steven Bruns, Andrew Davis, Marcus Gray, Braden Kobza, Mason Lierz, Miranda Branek, Ann Cline, Olivia Farwell, Aeden Gyhra, Lydia Gyhra, Sabre Menninga and Mariah Willey. On the girls' team, Mariah has been our top scorer in regular season and at State. She is a record holder in the 100 Hurdles, Long Jump and High Jump. Also, she has been State Champion in the 100 Hurdles as a freshman and 2nd in the last two years.
