HUMBOLDT - It didn’t look good in the early going, but the Pawnee City Indians launched a second half comeback to defeat the Johnson-Brock Eagles for the 2019 Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Holiday Tournament championship last Monday, December 30th.

Even though P.C. took an early 4-2 lead with TJ Mawhiney and Shamar Willey scoring buckets, the Indians went into a slump and got behind by a 4-9 score.

P.C. called time out with 4:13 left, and came back out with Mawhiney assisting Willey on a bucket underneath. Turnovers marred P.C.’s next trips down the court, however, and J-B went up 13-6.
