MUDECAS MEET POSTPONED

The 2015 MUDECAS Track Meet was postponed from Saturday to this Wednesday, April 29th and will run as previously scheduled at the Pawnee City track. All three area teams, Pawnee City, HTRS and Lewiston will be in attendance.

Eastern Cornhusker Trapshooting Conference Awards

Eastern Cornhusker Trapshooting Conference Awards received by the Pawnee City Trap Shooting team from Saturday April 25, 2015 Thomas Smyth who received the South Division Junior male Third Team Honors. Lauren Moser (center) received the All Conference Junior Division Most Improved female award. Eliza Hunzeker (right) placed 3rd and received the South Division Junior female First Team honors.

HTRS tracksters tough it out at Tri-County

The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Track team traveled to the Tri-County Invitational on Tuesday, April 21st to compete in less than stellar conditions. Coach April Binder commented, "The HTRS track team braved the 20 mph wind and extreme weather conditions so the times do not reveal their effort." Despite the conditions, HTRS  still came home with quite a few individual medals.

P.C., Lewiston compete at Irish Invite

The Pawnee City and Lewiston track teams traveled to the Falls City Sacred Heart Irish Invite at Syracuse on Tuesday, April 21st to compete in a thirteen team competition. The Pawnee City girls did the most damage as they won the team title in their division with 117 total points. Conestoga was the next closest team with 104.5 points. The Lewiston girls placed 11th with 4 points.

Pawnee City golfers win HTRS Invite

KIRKMAN’S COVE - The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Golf Invitational was held on Tuesday, April 14th at Kirkman’s Lakeview Golf Course near Humboldt. Seven teams competed in the varsity and junior varsity meet which ended up with favorable weather conditions for their rounds.

HTRS, LHS brave conditions at JCC Invite

TECUMSEH - The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer and Lewiston Track teams competed at the Johnson County Central Thunderbird Invite in cold, wet conditions last Tuesday, April 7th. After the days' events, the HTRS girls came home with a 5th place finish and 60 points followed by Lewiston in 10th place with 6 points. The HTRS boys placed 6th with 43.5 points and the Lewiston boys finished 11th with 5 points.

Pawnee City girls win Valley Heights, boys take 2nd

VALLEY HEIGHTS, KS. - The Pawnee City girls and boys' track teams made the trek to Valley Heights, Kansas on Tuesday, April 7th to compete against eleven other teams in attendance. The Pawnee City Lady Indians won the team competition with a total of 133.50 points while the boys placed 2nd with 95 points, just five points shy of Hanover, Ks. with 100 points. Gold medalists for the day included: Mariah Willey in both the Long Jump and the 100 M. Hurdles as she leaped 17'3 1/2" and ran the hurdles in 16.02. Shelby Hundley won the 300 M. Hurdles with a time of 49.69 and Jenna Habegger won the Discus with a throw of 112'5".

Young grapplers gain experience at State Youth Wrestling Tournament

GRAND ISLAND - On Saturday, March 21st four wrestlers from the Humboldt Youth Wrestling Club, who had placed in the top 4 spots at the district level, traveled to Grand Island to represent the Humboldt Club at the State Tournament.

The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Powerlifting team recently hosted the State Powerlifting competition on Saturday, March 28th at the HTRS Gymnasium. The HTRS girls won the Team Championship
