LHS succumbs to NCL press

The Lewiston Lady Tigers had their hands full with Nebraska City Lourdes' full court pressure on Friday, January 23rd. NCL used that pressure to jump out to a 13-5 lead by the end of the 1st quarter and led 17-5 in the 2nd period before Megan Wehrbein and Kaitlin Arena knocked down some charity tosses. LHS trailed 10-32 at the half.

Titan wrestlers place 7th among 15 teams at Louisville

The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Titans faced another stellar group of grapplers at the Louisville Wrestling Invitational held on Saturday, January 24th. HTRS/P.C. claimed 7th place with 91.5 points out of the fifteen teams which were in competition. HTRS/P.C.'s Jacob Wilhelm and Ben Railsback placed 3rd place in their respective divisions at 120 lbs. and 160 lbs. Michael Otto placed 4th at 126 and Eli Cline placed 4th at 182 lbs.

Tigers slow game down against NCL

Lewiston Head Coach Ryan Thomas had a great game plan heading into the Tigers' game against a Nebraska City Lourdes lineup that averages about 6'3" as their starting height. The Tigers hosted Lourdes Central Catholic on Friday night, January 23rd and used a patient offense when they had the ball to slow the game down and get good shots against the much taller Knights.

Palmyra answers P.C. in Class B title game

BEATRICE - No matter what Pawnee City did, Palmyra always seemed to have the answer as both teams took the court against each other in the Class B Mudecas boys' championship game on Saturday, January 17th.
Pawnee City had a tough start in th  first quarter with Palmyra holding them to just 2 points while scoring 13 points of their own.  The Indians had a hard time coming back from that deficit forthe remainder of the game. In the 
2nd quarter, P.C.'s Tyler Gyhra tried to jump start the team with a  3-pointer from the corner and thenReese Fisher forced a turnover which led to a Gyhra layup and a 7-13 score.

P.C. tops Lady Titans for 3rd place in Class B

BEATRICE - After dropping into the consolation game of the 2015  Class B Mudecas Tournament, the Pawnee City Lady Indians and theHTRS Lady Titans took the floor against each other on Friday, January 16th.The first quarter had the most action as Pawnee City led 16-10 after it was played and then they carried a 21-13 lead over HTRS into the halftime break

Jets use first quarter to thwart HTRS

STERLING - The Sterling Jets used their home court advantage and a strong first quarter to defeat the Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Titans on Friday night, January 9th. The Jets raced out to a 17-6 after the first quarter of play and that proved to be the Titans downfall

HTRS/P.C. Titan wrestlers claim 2nd place at Tri-County

FRIEND, TRI-COUNTY - The Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer/ Pawnee City Titan wrestlers recently competed at the Friend Dual and the Tri-County Dual Tournament. HTRS vs. Friend The Titans recently competed at the Friend Dual on Tuesdy, January 6th, but los by a 24-36 score. Results were as follows

P.C. falls short of Holiday title in OT

HUMBOLDT - The Pawnee City Lady Indians came up two points shy of winning the 50th Annual HTRS Holiday Classic on Wednesday, December 31st. After a low scoring first quarter against Deshler at 4-6, P.C. tied the game up at 14-14 heading into the halftime break.

First quarter lead dissipates for Indians

HUMBOLDT - The Pawnee  City Indians jumped out to a quick 9-1 on the Deshler Dragons in the HTRS Holiday Classic Championship game, but they let that lead slip away from them as they lost by a 37-44 count in the end.

HTRS Titans hang tough with FCSH Irish

The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Titans played four tough quarters of basketball against the visiting Falls City Sacred Heart Irish on Friday night, December 19th. The scoring was tight in the first quarter as Eli Herr and Logan
Bredemeier put the Titans on the  board at 4-6 and then Schuyler Kuhlmann hit a trey at the three minute mark for a 7-6 lead.
