Pawnee City Golf

Coach Schaardt's season outlook: “This year we have four returning golfers from last year in Kellen Bradbury, Tyson Crosby, Eric Moore and Kaleb Vetrovsky. Last year our two returning letterwinners Kellen and Tyson, were the most consistent golfers on the team. Their scores were consistent throughout the whole year, so I hope this year we see improvement as the year goes on with not only them but also the others. I think the three older boys, Kellen, Tyson, and Eric will bring back some true experience on the course. This will still be a building year for us, but I am hoping those three step up and help the younger and newer golfers to improve in the future too. I would like for us to improve on our individual averages as the year goes on. With the weather not being the best for practices early in the season, this will be a tough goal for each golfer to improve his average as the year goes on. So far the weather has put a real damper on our practice time.

Coach Strong's season outlook: “The Pawnee City boys and girls' track teams will meet the challenges as a team with hard work and great attitudes. This year's saying is ‘Hard Work + Attitude = Success.’ We continue our tradition by having this on the back of our T-shirts. We are all about teamwork with both our athletes and coaches. This year's coaches are Tyler Ferebee, Candy Sejkora,Tami Robison and Jeff Bacon. Returning state qualifiers are Ashlynn Klepper in the discus, Shamar Willey, 110HH/300IH, Mason Lierz, Kodenn Koester, and Kaden Lang in the 3200R, plus a good crew of girls and boys who placed at Districts. We have 12 girls and 22 boys out and are looking for some great moments and memories throughout the season with the upperclassmen leadership. The strengths of our team are depth and experience in the boys and experience in the shot, discus and running events for the girls.
