Team Vrtiska wins HTRS Athletic Booster Tourney

HUMBOLDT - The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Athletic Boosters held their 3rd Annual Men's Basketball Tournament over the weekend of March 1st-2nd,, 2014. Team Vrtiska won the tournament after defeating the A-team 81-44; Southeast 46-24; the Thorp team 43-32 and the Derby team, 55-49 in the championship game.

Southern uses 3rd quarter to get past HTRS

The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Titans went up against the Wymore Southern Raiders in Class C2-1 subdistrict  action on Monday, February 24th. The two teams were evenly matched as HTRS took a 10-9 lead after the first quarter and then increased that lead to 22-18 heading into the locker rooms.

LHS comes close in 4th game

The Lewiston Tigers entered the Class D2-1 subdistrict as the #4 seed and almost pulled off the upset of the week over the #1 seeded Falls City Sacred Heart Irish on Tuesday, February 25th. The subdistrict matchup was
the fourth time these two teams faced each other as Lewiston took FCSH down to the wire and came up only one point shy in their efforts, 44-45

Railsback ends wrestling season with 34-14 record

OMAHA - Two members of the Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer/Pawnee City Titan wrestling team made the big trek to Omaha to the Century Link Center on Thursday and Friday, February 20th and 21st. HTRS junior Ben Railsback and HTRS freshman Jacob Wilhelm competed in the Class C State competition. Ben Railsback entered the 160 lb. division with a 33-12 record and faced Valentine's Lance Hockenbary in opening round action on Thursday. Railsback lost by a fall in 3:58, however which dropped him into the wrestle back competition.

P.C. holds off Southern in final home game

PAWNEE CITY - The Pawnee City Indian boys' basketball team hosted the Wymore Southern Raiders in their final regular season and home game on Friday night, February 21st. Pawnee City allowed Wymore to jump out to a 14-13 lead after the opening period, but then the Indians rallied back in the 2nd quarter for an 11-4 run to take a 24-18 lead into the locker rooms.

FALLS CITY, JOHNSON - The  Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Titans had a busy two day road trip as they traveled to both Falls City and Johnson-Brock in back to back nights last week. HTRS vs. Falls City The Titans opened their twogame stretch at the Falls City Tigers on Thursday, February 13th.

Lady Titans struggle in back to back games

FALLS CITY, JOHNSON - The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Lady Titans had the same tough road trips as the boys as they took on the Falls City Lady Tigers and the Johnson-Brock Lady Eagles in back to back nights on Thursday and Friday, February 13th and 14th and came home with losses.

HTRS/P.C. wrestling team will send two grapplers to State Tournament

MALCOLM - The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer/Pawnee City wrestling team qualified two grapplers for the State Wrestling Tournament this week. The Titans traveled to Malcolm for the Class C-1 Districts on Friday and Saturday, February 14th and 15th and had two team members earn the trip to State by placing in the top four of their weight divisions. HTRS/P.C.'s Ben Railsback placed 3rd in the 160 lb. division and teammate Jacob Wilhelm
placed 4th in the 106 lb. division at the District Meet
