Pawnee sweeps games on Parent's Night

PAWNEE CITY - The Pawnee City Lady Indians swept their last home triangular last Tuesday, October 22nd over the Johnson County Central Lady Thunderbirds and the Lewiston Lady Tigers in front of their Parent's Night crowd.

Big kickoff return lifts Indians despite 18-52 loss

PAWNEE CITY - With 16 seconds left on the clock in the first half, Pawnee City’s Colten Fisher created lightning. Lourdes has just scored again and led 36-0 with 27 seconds left to go after two quarters. Things looked grim in  he Friday night, October 18th contest.

Panthers hand HTRS tough loss on Parent's Night

HUMBOLDT - Despite a 6-53 loss at the hands of the Palmyra Panthers, the HTRS parents and fans withstood the cold conditions on Friday night, October 18th to cheer on their beloved Titans. HTRS had their chances early in the game as they stopped Palmyra several times on defense before getting down by a 14-0 score.

Lady Titans hope to get back on winning track after string of losses

HUMBOLDT - The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Lady Titans are looking to get back to their winning ways after a string of bad luck last week against stellar volleyball teams. The Lady Titans lost to both Falls City Sacred Heart  nd Johnson- Brock in a triangular last Tuesday night, before falling prey to the Palmyra Lady Panthers in front of a Parent's night crowd on Friday, October 18th.

Everybody comes up a winner at "Dig Pink" triangular at P.C.

PAWNEE CITY - Everybody came up winners at the triangular volleyball game between Pawnee City, HTRS and Diller/Odell on Thursday night, October 10th. Pawnee City beat HTRS in the last game, 2-0 and lost to Diller/Odell in their first game, 2-0. HTRS defeated Diller/Odell 2-0 in the first match. It was the Dig Pink game to show support and raise money for breast cancer treatment. Details of the night can be found in the feature story on Pat Vonderfecht. Pawnee City was flat against Diller/Odell, but played a strong game to win against HTRS. Coach Dani Niss said the Indians couldn't get going in the first game, but played very well against HTRS.

Auburn/HTRS girls finish season 12-15

AUBURN - The Auburn/Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer girls' softball team finished their 2013 season with a 12-15 record after hosting the Class B-1 Districts last week. The Lady Bulldogs were seeded #5 in the District tournament and knocked off #4 Plattsmouth 6-1 in opening action on Thursday, October 10th. The win vaulted them into the top bracket against #1 seeded Norris whom they lost to by a 5-0 score. They dropped down into the consolation bracket later that day where they faced #6 seeded Platteview.
