The Pawnee City City Council approved the final draft of the 2021-22 budget at Monday’s meeting. There will be a public hearing for the budget Sept. 13. That night they will also set the property tax request.
The operating budget is $3,358,137, up nine percent over last year. That was due in large part to the $300,000 budgeted for the new fire hall.
