Derek Niss and Ric Helms were busy putting up a new flagpole Saturday at the Sweet Second Home Day Care facility. Niss owns the business with his wife, Amanda. The pole is donated from a fund created by Charlie Hatfield’s now late parents. The rock, concrete and flag are paid for by the American Legion Auxiliary. Hatfield has donated many flags around town, and many know him as the flag man.
