The Pawnee County Avenue of Flag committee began the quest last summer to replace tattered flags of veterans for their display. Having minimal family contact information for the veterans, we published a list of names in the newspaper and on Facebook with the hope of finding family wanting to replace their loved one’s flag. The response has been overwhelming!!
