The Prairie Restoration started in earnest with the preparation of the area that will be planted in native grasses. On September 27th, the first planting of trees occurred. The Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, through a Greener Towns grant, provided six Burr Oak, two Chinkapin Oak, one Buckeye, and three Service Berry trees.
