Nebraska Fish Art Contest open for entries

Students in kindergarten through 12th grade can discover the outdoors by participating in the Nebraska Fish Art Contest.The 2025 contest, sponsored by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, Wildlife Forever and Bass Pro Shops, is accepting entries through Feb. 28, 2025.

Chamber Holiday Cheer was evident Thursday the 5th in downtown Pawnee City. Festive holiday music filled the air as people walked from the pancake and sausage dinner to fill up with hot cocoa, popcorn and candy canes at Santa’s place.

County Assessor Announces Retirement

Pawnee County Assessor Vickie Wiers submitted her letter of retirement, effective December 31, 2024 to the Pawnee County Commissioners on Tuesday, November 26. Wiers said she has enjoyed her time in office and is grateful to the community.
