Troopers Find Meth, Cocaine After Pursuit, Crash on I-80

August 23, 2024 (Grand Island, NEB.) — The Nebraska State Fair is officially underway. Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol will be hard at work keeping the event safe for all. The fair will run through Labor Day, September 2, at Fonner Park in Grand Island.

Schaardt Inducted into Cured Meat National Hall of Fame

During its annual convention in Omaha, the American Association of Meat Processors elected the newest member into the Cured Meats Hall of Fame. The 2024 inductee is Dennis Schaardt of Den’s Country Meats in Table Rock, NE.

HIT THE ROAD! Fun Program at Table Rock Theatre

On Sunday afternoon, September 8 at 2 pm, the Pawnee County Arts Council will have a fun program at the Table Rock Theater. Sherry Winkinhofer will present a talk, “When America Really Hit the Road.” It’s about the exponential growth of automobiles on the roads of America in the 1920s.
