Since moving to Auburn a couple years ago, I don’t get to make daily trips to photograph Burchard Lake like I used to.I did make the drive last week because I wanted to see if anything had changed.

Summer is here (well technically we are 2-ish weeks away) and everyone is excited for warm weather and the desire to be outside. These are great things and can bring so much joy to our lives, however, there are some areas in which we should take caution.

There are a number of stories of children who came to Pawnee County via the Orphan Train. As I understand it, the children generally went from New York City to Lincoln or Omaha to a children’s home and clusters of them were then brought down on a perhaps regular basis.

PAWNEE CITY - The Fairview Golf Club held their annual Memorial Day Golf Tournament on Monday, May 27th with thirty-one teams in attendance to start the day.The four-person, eighteen hole tournament was won by the Tony Bursovsky team with rounds of 28, 31 for a 59 overall.
Pictured - Pastor Lori Stevens, Madison Fender, Mike Puhalla. Almost 50 people gathered at the Table Rock Cemetery on Sunday, May 26th to witness the memorial services.
