The Nonpartisan Unicameral Legislature Is Broken

The 108th Legislature First Session was a hot mess. The fact that three senators could derail the work of 46 others in the nation’s only onehouse, allegedly nonpartisan Legislature, speaks volumes. What went wrong? Most everything that could.

A grandson of Floyd Vrtiska of Table Rock won the Pawnee City Classic 5-K Saturday. Trey Seibel of Lincoln won in a time of 18:40 for the 29th running of the race. His mother Lori is a daughter of the former state senator. There were 106 participants.
