Glenn’s True Value – Pawnee City branch has been a fixture in the community for over 23 years. The hardware store continues a legacy which may be one of the oldest hardware stores in Nebraska with a history dating back 131 years ago to 1892.

Put a bowl of mixed nuts in front of me, and one of the first varieties that’ll go missing are, you guessed it: the pecans. I’ll eat all the pecans and almonds first, work my way through the other varieties, and leave the peanuts for someone else.

Summertime Recipes

Ingredients - 6 smalls cucumbers - 1 small white onion - 1 cup white vinegar - 2 cups water* - 1 tablespoon olive oil - 1/4 cup sugar - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Preparation Thinly slice the cucumbers into rounds and place in a 7 or 8 cup container.
