Flag Disposal

The American Legion will be conducting a dignified disposal of unserviceable flags at the Legion Hall on Friday, May 19th at 6:30pm. The public is welcome to attend.

Rotary Award to Local Ladies

Chamber’s May Business of the Month

The Pawnee City Chamber’s Business of the Month of May is H & H Auto Parts. Nick and Renee Boomgaarn have been owners of H & H Auto Parts since May 1, 2004.

Gavin McHenry of Pawnee City Schools officially signed with SCC Shooting Sports team for next year.

2023 Lewiston Elementary Field Day held on new track

Lewiston Consolidated Schools held their annual Elementary Field Day on Monday, May 8th, but this was the first time they held it on their new track and field. There were many memories made for some of these athletes on that day, but there will be many more made in the future!

Photo – Enough Already! These flowers weren’t expecting the snow last May 2 and neither were we. The snow came but what happened to spring? Reports of precipitation in Pawnee County vary from 1.97” to 3”. Not all of that was snow but what we got was more than enough!
