Lyle Droge of Pawnee turns 91 in another six weeks and says he’s getting to a spot in life where he has few peers in memory of the area. “I’m getting to where no one can doubt me. I can make up my own stories,” he said with a laugh.

The Table Rock Depot in 1876, the year that C. W. Chambers became the depot agent. He was 23 years old. Chambers is the gent labeled as #3. #1 is Ed Ryan, who was a section chief, and #2 is Nick Goodenkauf. No one else is identified. This photograph is displayed in the Table Rock Train Museum. The One-Legged Woman Along in the summer of ’76 one day when the south-bound freight with Conductor Filson pulled in, they brought the caboose down to the station and unloaded a one-legged woman on crutches, and it was quite a job.

Nebraska Attorney General Visits Pawnee County

Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers visited Pawnee City last Thursday. The purpose of his visit was to meet with the Sheriff and County Attorney. He said the reason for the visits is to establish relationships with local law enforcement across the state of Nebraska.
