Campaign Spending in Nebraska Out of Control

I’m struggling with the math on this one. At least 20 people running for the Nebraska Legislature are spending $100,000 or more on their campaigns.

Lewiston receives Archery Grant

Lewiston Consolidated received a grant of $5000 from the National Archery in Schools Program and Nebraska State Game and Parks. They received 12 Matthews Genesis Bows, 10 dozen Matthews arrows, 5 international targets and a competition kelvar sheet for the back drop.

Deadline Extended

  Need a little help this Christmas? Applications for gifts from the Angel Tree Program can be picked up at the City Office, Library and SENCA office in Pawnee City. They are due back to the City Office (605 G Street) by Nov. 14th.

National Wreaths Across America

We have Veteran’s Day in the fall, and Memorial Day in the spring, but our service members sacrifice every day of the year. During the holidays is a great time to express our appreciation for those who have served our country.

All Area Veterans and Patrons Invited

Lewiston Consolidated Schools will be hosting a Veteran’s Day Event on Friday, November 11, 2022, to honor our Veteran’s. The event includes a social including cookies, coffee, and conversation will begin at 9:30 am in the library.

CHAMBER CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL & CHRISTMAS TREE LANE

December 8th has been chosen for the Christmas Festival in downtown Pawnee City, and businesses will be open until 7:00 that evening for your shopping pleasure.

Volunteers needed to help put up Avenue of Flags

The Avenue of Flags will be on display again on Veteran’s Day, Friday November 11. Volunteers are needed to put the flags up at 7 a.m. and taken down at 4:30 p.m.
