Burchard Methodist Church Closing After 141Years

The Burchard United Methodist Church is closing. The last service will be by pastor Hyunsook Kim on Sunday, October 30 at 11:00 am. Closing has been a long time coming as the congregation, like in other small towns, dwindled. The few remaining members simply cannot keep it going.

10 years ago October 12, 2012 There is a curfew for miniors in Table Rock. It is unlawful for any person 15 years of age or younger to be in a vehicle on any street, road, alley, park, or public place in the Village of Table rock after the hour of 10 p.m. and before the hour of 6 a.m.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Donna Henson, a long term resident of Pawnee City, is a breast cancer survivor. She was 54 years old when diagnosed with stage 4 invasive breast cancer. Donna was only given 5 years to live. She is now 75 years old.
