School Board Takes no Action at Special Meeting

The Pawnee City Public School Board met at a special meeting on Monday, June 21st. There was only one item on the agenda and it pertained to teacher Scott Brumbaugh. The School board went into executive session at 6:06pm and ended the session at 6:46pm.

TABLE ROCK, HASTINGS - “Somebody tackle #22!” That was just one of the comments jokingly made over the weekend while referring to 2022 Nebraska 8-Man Football Hall of Fame inductee Jim Gilbert of Table Rock.

I occasionally pick up a history book and flip through the pages. The other day I picked up an 800- page tome that was Volume 2 of the three-volume Illustrated History of Nebraska. It was written by J. Sterling Morton in 1906. I ran across an autobiographical entry by a Dr. George B. Miller.

FATHER’S DAY OPEN HOUSE AT TR MUSEUM

It will be soooo hot, but the Table Rock Historical Society is going forward with its annual open house. It will be Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. This year, the Farm Machinery Quonset Museum is featured. The Quonset is behind the brick Pioneer Museum.
