Mark your calendars for the farmers’ market

Ready for some fresh, local goods? The Beatrice Farmer’s Market kicks off on Thursday, May 19th. As with past seasons, it will be open every Thursday from 4:00pm - 6:30pm until mid-October. The market will continue to be hosted in the Centenary United Methodist parking lot at 6th & High Streets.

Daniel Estrella Awarded Scholarship for Research

The UNMC Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience held a Presentation of Scholarships awards sponsored by the 2022 Nancy and Ronald Reagan Scholarship Fund to seven students of UNMC. Luis Daniel Estrella, a graduate Research Assistant, was awarded a scholarship for his research.

Linda Thomas retires at Lewiston Consolidated

Linda Thomas is retiring after 21 years at Lewiston Consolidated. She was business manager for 18 years and worked three years as the principal’s secretary. Her husband is Gregg Thomas a farmer with a hunting business.

The Awana kids

The Awana kids celebrated their Awards Night on May 4th. Kids age 4-6th grade gathered each Wednesday this past school year to memorize Scripture, sing praises, and learn about the love of Jesus.
