Joe Stehlik to be honored for 50 years as an attorney

Local attorney and community activist Joe Stehlik will be honored by the Nebraska Bar Association Oct. 15 for 50 years as an attorney. He was recently honored for 50 years membership with the International Order of Odd Fellows, too.

Thinking About Work

I grew up on a farm in Iowa, where I spent many hours each summer “walking beans.” (And no, no leash is needed—just a freshly sharpened hoe.) That job definitely was NOT my all-time favorite—especially on humid July mornings after a rainfall.
