Pawnee City budget a year-long process

Pawnee City’s operating budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year is $3,358,137, up nine percent over last year. That was due in large part to the $300,000 budgeted for the new fire hall. The property tax request is $220,932. There is a total valuation of $34,548,717, up nine percent.

A dog who needs a donation for operation

This is a story about a dog that needs your help. She needs an operation and could use donations to help pay for it. She is a female black lab mix and she came into city impoundment on July 13. She had a collar with a rabies tag but no license tag. She was very thin and needed medical attention.
