Bock Reunion

Descendents of Adolf and Laura Bock gathered at Poteet Hall July 25, 2021 A potluck meal was enjoyed. Because of Covid we did not have a reunion last year. So this year we had two special guests, Laura Binder 102 years old and Lyle Droge 99 years old. We all enjoyed their stories of the past.

Blazing Battle of the Czech Bands

Oh my gosh, my favorite part of last Saturday night in Table Rock came as the two polka bands at our historic bandstand got together and jammed. They had started the evening with an all-in rendition of the old crowd pleaser, the Praha Polka.

New displays at the Pawnee City Public Library

When Pawnee City Library Director Lola Seitz returned from vacation, she could hardly believe her eyes. She saw a giant shark hovering over some books. Her new employee Natasha Johnson has been busy making the library some nifty displays since she started May 5.

Fire Station fundraising totals $95,000 so far

Dirt work has started on the new Fire Station Project in Pawnee City. The contractor, AHRS from Bern, Kan., expects to complete the project by the end of the year, according to Assistant Fire Chief Mike Habegger. The Fire Department is in the midst of a large fundraising campaign.
