One-Act performers plugging along

We're plugging along as usual with one-act. It's the usual mess that it is at this time of year, haha. We're working through scenes bit by bit and making improvements every day.

Annie’s Project Classes begin November 5th

Annie’s Project classes for women in agriculture will take place this November and December across Nebraska. This hybrid event will be comprised of virtual and in-person components to bring farm and ranch women together to learn from experts about agricultural risk management.

NDCS staff member positive for COVID-19

Director Scott R. Frakes announced that a staff member with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) is positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The staff member is employed at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI). That person is self-isolating at home.

SENHD COVID-19 update

In recent weeks, the Southeast Nebraska Health District has seen an increased rate of confirmed cases of COVID-19. The recent transition to phase four of the Directed Health Measure has given some hope of returning to normal life activities.

City Council candidates on issues

It was a small crowd, but the evening was well spent when three City Council Candidates gathered to talk issues Friday night. They met at the Fairview Golf Club. Incumbent Vickie Zelenka was there along with challengers Donnie Fisher and Bruce Haughton. Councilman John Dahlgren was not there.

Burchard Lake road under repair

The Burchard Lake road is under repair, but it is Pawnee County doing the work. After years of extensive research, by County Superintendent of Roads Chris Rauner and others, the Game and Parks has produced the original agreement for the Burchard lake road.

Dahlgren refuses to pay back money Council requested

City Councilman John Dahlgren told the Council Tuesday, Oct. 13, that he will not pay back part of the money spent on the tube in his driveway. He further stated he is willing to face the City in court if necessary.
