I want to express my appreciation to Dr. Snyder for continuing to send news of the past, reflections on the special life in Pawnee City for many of us in our youth.His mention of Soapstone triggers something in me. I thought I never visited soap stone. David Herries tells me we went there together.

Nebraska Historical Society Foundation Grant Supports Completion of Historic Steinauer Firehouse Restoration

STEINAUER, NEBRASKA — The Steinauer Community Heritage House has received a grant from the Nebraska Historical Society Foundation to support the completion of interior galleries and museumquality interpretive signage in the restored Steinauer Volunteer Fire Department Firehouse.
