Scott Farwell has been testing his corn around DuBois as harvest season gets underway. He had tested two fields and was on his way to a third when we caught up with him. He said it has been testing between .15 to .22 moisture.

25 Years Ago – October 5, 2000

A group of mothers have united together, to try to raise funds for a playground improvement project. The current playground equipment at the North and South Park, is 30 years old, and in dire need of upgrading.

50 Years Ago – October 9, 1975

“It feels great to win!” That was the general sentiment in the Pawnee locker room after the game last Friday night. The Pawnee City Indians renewed an old rivalry with the Tecumseh Indians with an 8 - 6 Homecoming victory at the expense of the boys from T-Town.

Annual Halloween Party in need of Volunteers
