Covid-19 didn’t dent the voting much for the Primary. More than 50 percent of Pawnee County registered voters voted. (For all official results see inside the paper.)
Pawnee County has 1,822 registered voters with 980 that voted in the Primary. The voter turnout percentage was 53.79%.
The state did ask for early voting emphasis this year and that was the only real difference in the way the votes were cast this year. Polling places still had people come in to vote under the guidelines.
There were three local races on the ballot and there were surprises.
