Wayne Rex Schulenberg, 75, of Table Rock, NE, passed away October 16, 2021, in Lincoln, NE. He was born on February 21, 1946, in Falls City, NE, to Charles Orville and Edna Lorena (Raper) Schulenberg. Wayne grew up on his parent’s farm northwest of Falls City.
Wayne worked at Ken Morehead Chevrolet in Falls City, he owned a body shop in Auburn, and drove for NE Bulk, also out of Auburn. He then worked for Kenny Parde Used Cars in Beatrice, prior to starting T-Town Motors as owner/operator, in Tecumseh. T-Town Motors started as a used car dealership and then became a business rebuilding, repairing, and selling semi-tractors and trailers. His business continued in Tecumseh until he moved it to Table Rock for five years before his retirement. After his retirement, Wayne and Nancy kept themselves busy working on the home they shared.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Wayne was very fond of his grandson, Jayce who recently graduated high school. His hobbies revolved around hunting, fishing, cars, trucks, and boats. Wayne was an avid NASCAR fan. If he wasn’t at the races, he was watching it on TV while on the phone with his son Marc, who would also be watching. Wayne’s family and friends will miss him immensely. He is survived by his wife
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nancy, of Table Rock; son, Marc (Connie); grandson, Jayce, and Connie’s sons, Damon (Cye), Joshua Newman; grandson, Raiden (aka Bubba), all of Lincoln; Nancy’s daughter, Theresa (Scott Persigehl), of Omaha; Nancy’s 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Wayne’s sister, Karen Matsumori, of San Jose, CA; brothers-in-law, Lonnie (Fran) Herrick, Dale Herrick, of Table Rock; Marc’s mother, Nancy Meinzer, of Lincoln; along with extended family and countless treasured friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Edna, inlaws, Howard, and Marguerite (Clark) Herrick, brother-in-law, Gary Herrick, and his wife’s son, Bradley Brewer. Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Table Rock Cemetery, Table Rock, NE.
