The solid waste disposal rates have gone up.
At Monday night’s City Council meeting, the Council voted 4-0 to raise the rates for each residence to $18.50 a month. There will be no senior citizen rate. Seniors were paying $15.50.
Greg Olberding of Seneca Sanitation was at the meeting to explain the need for the raise due to rising fuel costs. He said his diesel rates have skyrocketed.
