Despite needing more rain, Buchard Lake is healthy
Just looking at the parking lot at Burchard Lake on Saturday you could tell it must have be a good day to go fishing. Jake Dixon, from Lincon, was fishing off the bank near the fishing dock and he said he caught 3 Bass. Edwin and Amanda Miller and their two children were launching their boat with their two children Amanda and Brandon on board. The Millers are from Wymore and have just moved here from Colorado.
Since moving to Auburn a couple years ago, I don’t get to make daily trips to photograph Burchard Lake like I used to.
I did make the drive last week because I wanted to see if anything had changed. When I got there I saw a lot of sediment in the water at the east end of the lake and I began to wonder how it stood healthwise because it was obvious it was down a few feet.
