John Allen Eis, 78, of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on March 20, 1943 in Pawnee City, Nebraska to John William and Lucille Leota (Farwell) Eis. He grew up on the family farm and attended Athens Country School District #67 in Richardson County through the 8th grade. John then attended Humboldt High School and graduated with the class of 1961. He then continued his education at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln where he received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Agronomy in 1967.
John worked for many years for the University of Nebraska while living in Lincoln. He later moved back to Humboldt where he has resided since. In his spare time, John enjoyed hunting, fishing and frequenting the casino.
John passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at his home in Humboldt, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of seventy-eight years, eight months and twenty-four days. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law Harold Koeneke and Paul Burgett.
John is survived by his sisters: Elaine Burgett of rural Humboldt, NE; Janice Koeneke of York, NE; brothers: Don Eis of rural Humboldt, NE; Ron Eis and wife Debra of rural Humboldt, NE; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives.
