Above: Picture these two old folks, Esther & R. V. Muir, when they were only 29 years old. That is how old each was when Muir made his dangerous trip to Table Rock, leaving Esther at home with a toddler and a baby. This picture was taken in 1912, on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary. This is the only known photograph of either.
