Pawnee City drills Meridian 56-14

PAWNEE CITY-The Pawnee City Indians made quick work of the Meridian Mustangs on Friday night, October 14th. They raced out to a 24-6 lead by the end of the 1st quarter and never looked back in their 56-14 easy win. P.C.

Lewiston falls to Sterling, 18-54

STERLING - For the first time during the 2022 season, the Sterling football field wasn’t the home site for the Lewiston Tigers. Instead, it was Lewiston who was the visitor against Sterling on Friday night, October 14th.

Dr. Horton joins Behavioral Health Team

Beatrice Community Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of another clinical psychologist to its Behavioral Health Team. Dr. Arynne Horton joined BCH in August as a full-time employed psychologist but she has been an integral member of the team for the past two years. Dr.

Emily Lytle qualifies for State Cross Country Meet

MCCOOL JUNCTION - Pawnee City’s Emily Lytle placed 12th at the District Cross Country meet on Thursday, October 13th. She ran the race in 22:22. Emily has earned a spot at the Nebraska State Cross Country competition which will be held on Friday, October 21st in Kearney at the Kearney Country Club.

Football

STERLING - The Pawnee City Indians played one of their most complete games of the season on Friday, October 7th against Class D-6 rival Sterling and dominated their hosts by a 60-8 final score. Head Coach Scott Brumbaugh commented, “Friday night was a good win for the Pawnee City football team.

Volleyball

LINCOLN - The Lewiston Lady Tigers traveled to College View Academy on Tuesday, October 4th to take on their hosts and the Sterling Lady Jets in a triangular. LHS vs. Sterling The Lady Tigers played against Sterling in their first match, but lost in two sets, 1225, 20-25.

Second quarter scoring lifts NCL over HTRS Titans on Homecoming

HUMBOLDT - The Humboldt Table Rock Steinauer Titans hosted the Nebraska City Lourdes Central Catholic Knights on Friday, October 7th for Homecoming. Lourdes CC scored first in the game on an 8 yard run and then a 10 yard pass to go up 12-0.

ROCK PORT - Emily Lytle was the only Pawnee City runner at the Rock Port Cross Country Invitational which was held on Monday, September 26th. According to Head Coach Heidi Koster, “She ran a tremendous race and placed 7th in a meet that had 16 participating schools.”
