Grant Wenzl harvesting corn on his land north of Pawnee City. When asked about his yields Grant said that his corn was averaging 160 to 180 bushels per acre and soybeans were averaging 55 to 70 bushels per acre.
Harvest season is upon Pawnee County and it is shaping up to be a good one this year. Jeff Wehrbein, the manager at the Farmers’ Co-Op elevator in Burchard said corn yields this year have been anywhere between 130-200 bushels per acre while the soybean yields have come in at anywhere between 50-70 bushels per acre.
