It is grass fire season and it will last until things start to green up in April. This is a tough time for the fire departments around the area. They can get up to around 20 fires a season to battle. The fires are difficult to deal with. Many times, they must get help. Sometimes the fires are dangerously out of control and lot of land and property can get burned if they are not contained.
