In 1977, the Table Rock girls’ basketball team, the Tigerettes, won the district championship for Class D. Basketball was a hot new sport for girls at the time. But it wasn’t new. It had just been a long time. Girls playing basketball? Back then? Yes. Girls’ high school basketball teams were a thing until they made it illegal, or at least made a state rule against girls playing interscholastically…
