Deputy City Clerk Kellie Wiers reported at the Monday night City Council meeting that the Mitten Tree and the Angel Tree were a big success this season.
The Mitten Tree received 79 pairs of mittens and 67 hats donated by residents to the school children of Pawnee City. The Angel Tree program reached 64 kids, she reported.
