If Pawnee City gets a new fire station in the future, part of the thanks will go to the Southeast Nebraska Development District or SENDD. They have written an assisted the City in many grant applications throughout the years, the most recent being the $435,000 Public Works Community Development Grant or CDBG that will go toward the new fire station.
