The Pawnee City Dog Park received a $10,600 donation from Alphia. Pawnee City Deputy Clerk Kelli Wiers said this donation will go a long way in helping the city complete the first step in building the park.
Wiers said the park will be built on an empty lot at the intersection of 8th and H streets, right next to the library.
The lot had been a garden for former resident Burt DeKoning for many years. …
