Sharon Kay Crawford, 83, of Bellevue, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at her home. She was born on February 8, 1943, in Omaha, Nebraska to Edgar and Ann (Keck) Luedeke. At a young age, her family moved from Omaha to Pawnee City, Nebraska. Sharon was raised in Pawnee City and graduated from Pawnee City High School with the Class of 1961.
On March 16, 1963, Sharon was united in marriage to Ronald Crawford at the Presbyterian Church in Pawnee City, Nebraska. To this union three sons, Todd, Grant and Lance were born. After the couple’s honeymoon, Ron left for England to serve his military assignment while Sharon stayed home to care for their family. Over the years, Sharon was the perfect military wife. She didn’t mind moving wherever the next assignment took the family and loved to experience the wonders of their family’s new home. After Ron’s retirement from his military service, the couple moved back to Bellevue, Nebraska.
Sharon was a devoted wife and mother that cared daily for her family. She enjoyed her daily Diet pop from McDonalds/ Burger King and reading peacefully her newspaper. She will be deeply missed all who cared and loved her.
She passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at her home in Bellevue, Nebraska, having reached the earthly age of eighty-three years, five months, and four days. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Todd and Grant Crawford, and brother-in-law Dennis Crawford.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ron Crawford of Bellevue, NE; son Lance Crawford and his significant other Brenda Miller of Papillion, NE; grandchildren Hannah Crawford of Dixon, CA, Emily and Megan Crawford of Papillion, NE, her brother John Luedeke and wife Linda of Lincoln, NE, sisters-in-law Rita McGuire and husband Dennis Kent of Cortland, NE, Judy Crawford of Falls City, NE, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the Wherry Mortuary, 919 “G” Street in Pawnee City, Nebraska with Lowell Imhoff officiating. Interment will immediately follow services at the Pawnee City Cemetery in Pawnee City. Services for Sharon will be livestreamed on the Wherry Mortuary Facebook page and a link to the livestream will be available after the service on Sharon’s webpage.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the Wherry Mortuary in Pawnee City, Nebraska. Family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
