Lawrence “Larry” Alan Yoble was born to Floyd and Ruby (Rockemann) Yoble on March 12, 1953 in Pawnee City, NE. Larry passed away at his home in Lincoln on July 14, 2026.
Larry spent his childhood on a farm by DuBois, NE. He attended grade school in DuBois and graduated in 1971 from Pawnee City High School. He entered the Air Force in June of 1972 and was discharged in May of 1974.
Larry worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad until 1997 when he retired due to a work related accident. His job fueled his passion for all things train related. He traveled many places to see different trains, railroad museums and to go for a ride. One of his favorites was Union Pacific’s “Big Boy” locomotive. He traveled many places to see it.
Larry was an avid reader, enjoyed walks, talking to people in the neighborhood and researching the best flowers and trees for his yard.
Larry is survived by his mother Ruby and his brother Dale (Linda) all of DuBois. And his sister Deb (Roger) Haselhorst of Norfolk. Nieces and nephews Jeremy, Heidi, Aaron and Beth. Many cousins and a host of great friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his father Floyd.
A graveside service for Larry will be held: July 31, 2026 at 11:30 am Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 S. 14th Street Lincoln, NE 68512 Gate #2
