Billy Bob Laun, D.D.S., 76, of Pawnee City passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on June 23, 1946 in Pawnee City, Nebraska to Robert and Violet (Rottman) Laun.
Bill started country school at Bunker Hill rural Table Rock, Nebraska then moved in to town in the first grade. Then started 5th grade in Pawnee City, when his folks bought a farm west of Pawnee City, Nebraska. He attend Pawnee City schools and graduated from Pawnee City High School in 1964 as Salutatorian of his class. He attended UNL and went on for his Post Graduate at UNL College of Dentistry in 1971. He practiced dentistry in the Sharpe building, downtown Lincoln for 10 years.
Bill loved farming and small town living. Bill bought a building in Table Rock and opened Table Rock Dental Clinic in 1979. He coincided both practices for a year and transitioned to full time in Table Rock. He celebrated 40 years of dentistry in Table Rock in 2019. Bill received his 50 year Pin from Alumni Dentistry at UNL.
Bill married Kay Binder in March 1984, to this union three children were born; Bobbi, Billy and Ben. Bill and Kay later divorced. Bill married long time partner Gloria on January 12, 2016 at the Christian Church in Table Rock, Nebraska.
Bill attended the Methodist Church in Burchard, Nebraska at a early age. He was presently attending River of Life Fellowship in Wymore, Nebraska.

Oddfellows-April 24, 1979, he was a Mason and a Shriner. Besides his Corvettes and partying in younger years; he loved snowmobiling and snow skiing. He enjoyed teaching his kids to ski at Snowy Range in Wyoming. He enjoyed his time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Violet Laun.
He is survived by his wife Gloria of Pawnee City, daughter, Bobbi Laun & husband Scott Nichols, their children Jackson and Katherine of Ottawa, IL, sons, Billy Laun & wife Karen Choi of Carbondale, IL, Benjamin Laun and wife Lisa of Table Rock, NE their children, Oliver and Ella, brother Larry Laun of Gravois Mills, MO, Jan Henninger of Lyons, NE, stepdaughters, Giselle & husband John Allen, their daughter, Eisley, Mikala & husband Jacob Toedtli and sons, Ridge, Beckett, Crick and Rowdy.
Services were held 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 9, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Officiating is Pastor Kevin Redfield. Visitation was on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from Noon-8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m., at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.
