Hastings resident Ruth Bramman, 80, went to be with her heavenly Father on June 6, 2023, in Elkhorn, Nebraska.
A celebration of life will be at 2nd Presbyterian church in Hastings, NE on July 15th at 10am.
Memorials are suggested to be given to the Second Presbyterian Church or Start Over Rover, Hastings, Nebraska.
Ruth was born on September 15, 1942, in Pawnee City, Nebraska to Archie C. and Mabel L. (Andrews) Richardson. She was baptized and confirmed in the First Presbyterian Church in Smith Center, Kansas. She grew up in Pawnee City, Nebraska and Smith Center, Kansas, graduating from Smith Center High School. She later attended college at St. Mary of the Plains College in Dodge City, Kansas and majored in English Education. She married Lyle Workman in July 1963 in Great Bend, Kansas and they later divorced. This union was blessed with the birth of two sons, Darin D. Workman and Bren K. Workman.

where she was employed by Mary Lanning Hospital, Merle Anderson Realty, Total Image, and bookkeeper for Burlington Express. She enjoyed reading, walking, petsitting and spending time with her friends and family. She was a long-time member of the Second Presbyterian Church in Hastings where she has served as church clerk and an Elder.
Ruth is survived by two sons, Darin Workman and wife Jennifer of Liberal, Kansas and Bren Workman and wife Lynne’ of Gretna, Nebraska, four grandchildren, Caitlin Workman of Lincoln, Nebraska, Kristopher Workman of Hastings, Nebraska, Brandy Workman and husband Logan York of Seattle, Washington, and Alex Workman of Omaha, Nebraska. Also surviving is her brother-in-law Ben Bilka of Hastings, Nebraska, niece Patti Bilka of Medford, Oregon, and nephew Ryan Richardson of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ms. Bramman was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Jean Bilka, brother Rex Richardson, and twin infant sisters.
